We met with our new case worker, Jasmin, today and she shared a bit about how July looked for us.
Gladney had four placements in July. Two of the placements were in Texas, one was in Georgia, and one in Florida. About half of the families were at or above the average wait of two years at placement, and the other half was at about one year, slightly under their average wait time. All four matches were fairly short and happened quickly. Two of the children were African American, One was mixed with Caucasian and African American, and one was Hispanic.
At present they are working with 46 expectant moms at different stages of their adoption journey. She shared that Gladney has been getting lots of inquires from expectant parents who are due in August. It looks like they are in for some action-packed months ahead! We are currently 40th in line.
