Adoption Update

Posted on March 1, 2024October 27, 2024 by Erica

Happy March everyone!!!

After a non-stop January, February also ended on a strong note with a total of five placements. Two of those placements, I suppose could be counted as one, as Gladney had yet another set of twins who were placed into the same home. The twins’ placement occurred in the Texas Fort Worth area, and the other three placements were in Idaho, Florida, and Georgia. Two of the children that they placed were half Caucasian and half African American, another child was half Hispanic and half African American, and the other two children were full Caucasian. Two of the four families who took placement were within Gladney’s average wait time, and the other two matches necessitated families whose wait time fell under their 18–24-month average.

Gladney is expecting a busy March as they are currently working with around 45 expectant birth mothers who are at various stages in their pregnancy. They are also working with 116 waiting families. We are currently 14th in line.
